You can take the boy out off Cleveland, but you can't take the Cleveland out of the boy.

Die Yankee, Die!
That would be the Sandman taking Mariano Punkass Rivera yard to right in Game 4 of the Division Series in 1997.  Greatest moment I've ever been present for.  Well, aside from my wedding.

As a Clevelander away from home, I've found that the best sources for keeping track of theWahoos' fortunes are the Akron Beacon Journal's Indians page and the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Tribe page .  The BJ's Sheldon Ocker is a fabulous beat writer, and Terry Pluto's frequent Indians columns are great.  During the off-season though, the BJ gets scooped bigtime by the PD.  The current MLB Standings are available at ESPN Sportszone
Given that the Indians' record with me in attendance SINCE that '97 Division Series miracle is about 3-10, I am sure that the front office breathed a sigh of relief when Kristin and I moved to the Great White North. On the other hand, given what John Hart & Co. did to Sandy Alomar, my favorite Indian for over 10 years, I'm not sure they deserve my money anyway. That being said, I foresee a road trip to the TwinkieDome this summer to watch the Injins anyhow.

I'm also, of course, a huge Brownies fan.  The PD and BJ once again have good Browns coverage.   There is also plenty of good stuff available at other sites, particularly Browns:  The Next Generation. and, for us old-timers, at The Highs and Lows of the 1980s Cleveland Browns.  Hopefully, one of these years the Dawgs will start winning again.
