| Hello boys and girls.
Here are a few pics from my honeymoon in New England last September.
Let me suggest that a Magnaflow muffler is not the best choice for
driving a couple thousand miles. heh.
Here is my gorgeous wife, Kristin and our '90 Winnebago-X Si near
the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont. Note Yak rack
with bikes positioned in non-Ed Sassler recommended position.
Here we are fully deployed at the campground in Acadia National
Park in Maine. Always interesting how much crap can be crammed
into the CRX.
Here we're about to leave Maine. I look really enthused at
the prospect of spending all day in the car. We had to get
to Ohio the next day because we had Indians tix, heh--given that
my now-wife had spent 4 hours waiting in line to get them the previous
November, it seemed bad form not to go, heh. Made for a pretty
daunting drive though...
A lowlight of the trip.... We were headed into Boston the
next day to visit Kristin's parents. Our plan to camp in NH
fell through on account of hurricane-spawned torrential rains, so
we thought we'd spend the day doing some indoor touristy crap.
We settled on the Salem Maritime Museum. This is an "after"
picture--see any potential problems based on what you've seen in
prior pics? Unfortunately, the convenient parking garage was
not, uh, fully compatible with all our automotive accessories.
Ahem. No comment on who was driving.
Several hours later, after driving through rush hour across town
to an REI store (in the torrential rain), we bought half of a new
rack to replace what we destroyed. Actually looked into giving
Ed Sassler a call, but one look at the map led me to shelve that
idea. All in all a pretty embarrassing experience, but we
learned a lesson about paying attention when entering parking garages
which we won't soon forget, heh. |
