Lance is a difficult player for me to evaluate--I
have a hard time deciding whether he's better than me or not. That might
be because we have different skills. Lance takes after the classic UMich
style, sometimes to a fault.. He could use to be more aggressive at times..
Defensively, Lance is strong, and if he gets enough pills he will push
right over you. I think he has a conservative definition of how many is
enough, though. Lance is good under pressure, strong in pillwars, good
at taking out spikes. On the other hand, he can be quite vulnerable early
in the game before he has enough pills to play his game. Quick spikes
with your first pills can be surprisingly effective against him considering
his overall skill level.. he will often get your man, but I feel the tradeoff
is worth it because the quick loss of a corner can really unhinge him,
especially if you quickly rape out his remaining quad. He gets frustrated
sometimes and plays ineffectively.
