After completing a bachelor's
in history at Wooster, I moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to
attend grad school at UNC.
I'm trained in U.S. History, specializing in
military
history . My work focuses on recent U.S. civil-military
relations. I'm currently writing my dissertation,
which explores the evolving social and political attitudes of senior
U.S. generals and admirals from 1968 to 1998. I'm also interested
in comparative civil-military relations, which I have pursued through
my second field in Modern Middle Eastern history.
If you happen to be associated with a would-be
employer, please ignore all sketchy gibberish on these pages.
If you're bored,
you can click through the virtual tour
of the West Point fortifications [kind of broken at present]
that I put together while in residence at the West Point Summer
Seminar in Military History a couple years ago. |
