Vorsprung Durch Technik

That about says it all doesn't it?
For over 100 years now Audi has been a company that strives for excellence in engineering and quality. The company as it is known today actually encompasses many companies that were originally part of the auto union which collected many racing titles in the early part of the 20th century. The Auto Union Silver Arrow is remembered today as one of the most successful racing machines of all time, and was the featured automobile at the 1999 Auto Expo in San Francisco. This car was one of the first mid-engine rear-drive combinations in racing history.

Today Audi is a staple of the German auto manufacturing machine. It is a part of the massive Volkswagen group that also owns the company Porsche. As a matter of fact, August Horch, the founder of Audi worked for years with the engineering genius of Ferdinand Porsche. With the manufacturing of such works of engineering as the TT and the RS4, Audi has insured that they will be a staple of auto manufacturing for some time to come.

My interest in Audi began when my father bought a 1989 90 quattro. The true beauty of all wheel drive combined with engineering that was years before its time made me realize right away that I wanted to drive an Audi. After a string of Audi's that my father owned including a 1986 5000 CS quattro, and a 1990 V8 quattro, I drove my first Audi, which was a 1986 5000 CS Turbo. This is my car today and I love it immensely.

I race Audi's in the Playstation game Gran Turismo 2 and hope to one day race a few Audi's of my own. Until then.... I will always love my Audi.

I am a member of the Quattro Club of the United States. If you own a quattro, and are interested in learning more about quattros all around America as well as special driving school and racing events, click the QCA banner below.
