Who we are

The faculty of the UNC Physical Therapy education programs has operated University Physical Therapy (formerly Piedmont Rehabilitation Services) since 1985.

Collectively we have over 250 years experience in Physical Therapy practice. We have varied interests and expertise but we are experts in the evaluation and intervention of individuals with movement related disorders. We are also actively involved in teaching and research.

The facility is staffed by the Faculty of the Division of Physical Therapy at UNC and offers researched up-to-date treatment available. Treatments are individualized to each persons specific needs and goals.

Philosophy

We believe that individuals are responsible for their own health. Therefore, great care is taken to personalize treatment and to educate clients about care of their current physical problems as well as about prevention of future difficulties.

We take pride in assisting our clients in their return to the highest level of activity desired, over the shortest possible time, in the safest possible manner, using the most up-to-date methods.
