My research focuses on the family as a context for studying both parental and child adjustment. I am particularly interested in studying children and families at-risk for adjustment difficulties associated with stressful transitions (e.g., adolescence); parental and child illness (e.g., HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cell Disease); and sociodemographic factors (e.g., poverty, single parent families). In addition, I am interested in the study of children who have been relatively underrepresented in the child and family literatures, including minority famlies. Contact Information
