Welcome! Presumably you're here to find out who I am and what I do. This won't actually help much, because I almost never have time to update this page, but here are a few links:

• I work for the Carolina Digital Library and Archives, where I'm head of the Research and Development Group.
• I used to work for Lulu. I was on the software engineering team.
• Before that, I worked for OASIS as an Academic Applications Developer.
• I have a Ph.D. in Classics from UNC. My dissertation was on The Rhetoric of Praise in Poetry from Theocritus to Ovid.
• I also have an M.S.I.S. from UNC's School of Information and Library Science. My main research areas are digital libraries and computing in the Humanities.

• One of my ongoing projects is working on tools and XSL transformations to work with marked up epigraphical texts as part of the EpiDoc project. See http://sourceforge.net/projects/epidoc/ for the DTD, tools, and stylesheets.
