In the spring of 2008 I completed a Ph.D in the department of philosophy at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill .

I have been a member of the Cognitive Evolution Laboratory at Harvard University since the Fall of 2007; beginning in the Fall of 2008, I will be working as a Research Associate at the Center for Cognitive Studies at Tufts University

My research in the philosophy of mind and psycology focuses on the conditions for possessing  mental states; I am currently developing a book length argument for the claim that some ascriptions of mental states to groups are literally true.

In moral psychology I am engaged in collaborative and experimental work with Marc Hauser and others.  If you would like to volunteer, check out the moral sense test.

For other projects I am currently working on, see my 'papers' page.
