was required by this assignment, my research findings are mostly assumed.

This story was a challenge. It involved some technical medical jargon,
and I had to make it understandable for the lay reader. It was released

Cancer
survivor Joye Leslie story
Joye was diagnosed with cervical cancer while she was pregnant with
her first child. Her triumph is an inspiration to many. The story is also

Writing assignment
This was for my first journalism class at Carolina. It is about
the debated nonresident admissions cap. I conducted all the interviews.
Cell
phones and brain health
This was an assignment for my Electronic Information Sources class. The
objective was to gain practice in finding information electronically and
through the UNC library system. The short essay appears at the end of
the document. I chose this topic since it is related to my internship.
Tar
Heels Talk Web site
I submit letters to this site every other month. The site is operated
by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. It is supposed to give incoming
students a feel for the University. My archived letters are on the right
side of the page. This is some of my cheesy writing at its best!
