Advanced Statistical Methods
Psychology 282
Spring 2004
We are meeting in Room 347 Davie Hall!!
Brief Course Description
This course develops topics in the univariate
general linear model. Course goals are to introduce the univariate model as a flexible
statistical/data analytic method, to discuss model assumptions, to review analysis
strategies (including regression diagnostics) and philosophies, to emphasize practical
applications of these models with the major existing computer packages, and to examine
robust and resistant approaches to model estimation. Recent developments in resampling, modeling other than continuously measured variables, and handling missing data are also covered. Course
assignments include readings, homework analyses and reports, a special topics presentation, and exams
(take home and in class).
