I am a PhD student in the philosophy department at the University of North Carolina. My thesis advisor is Gerald Postema , and my other committee members are Gerald Gaus and Thomas Hill, Jr .

My research focuses on epistemic aspects of political legitimacy and authority, especially in the work of John Stuart Mill. I also have interests in epistemic normativity and pragmatism. At UNC, I have taught courses on moral, political, and legal philosophy, international ethics, and applied ethics. I am also a graduate fellow of the Parr Center for Ethics at UNC.
