The History of American Higher Education
With Dr. Dean Bresciani, Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

The goal of this seminar is to provide a comprehensive introduction to the history and role of American higher education, examining not simply its written history, but the potential if not realized social and political influences on its development-and the impact thereof. While the seminar is not intended to provide an overview of higher education in other parts of the world, it will at several points be contrasted with organizational models/roles of 'western' higher education other than those of America.
