Boy Scouting is for boys ages 11 to 17. Boys also may become Boy Scouts if they have earned the Arrow of Light Award or have completed the fifth grade. The Scouting program has three specific objectives commonly referred to as the aims of Scouting.

The highest rank attainable by a Scout is Eagle Scout.
