Welcome! This is my professional development website describing my research programme in marine invertebrate biomechanics. Here you'll be able to find:
  • Current and past projects, and future research plans.
  • Scientific affiliations with colleagues and institutions.
  • Contact information.
  • protocols & techniques, and links that I find useful.

My name is Ted Uyeno (a Japanese surname pronounced "bueno" without the "b"). Currently I'm a Ph.D. graduate student training at the Biology Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. I received my B.Sc and M.Sc. in Invertebrate Biology from University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
My interest is in mechanics; the form, function and evolution of living mechanisms. I choose to work with invertebrates because of their vast diversity of unstudied morphologies.
Feel free to browse through these pages. If you're visiting because you're interested in a Postdoctoral collaboration please let me know and be sure to take a look at my "Academics" section.

      Sincerely,

Ted Uyeno
