4.        U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

Honor Program IF:

open to third year law students, graduate law students in the last year of study and individuals who will be judicial law clerks prior to the application deadline

this is the department’s only recruitment program for entry level attorneys

for positions in the following year

Summer Program IF:

open to first, second or third year law students

 first semester law students are not eligible to apply

for positions in the following summer, applications must be submitted by late September each year

application process:

each requires a one-page, doubled-sided form to which transcripts and resumes are to be attached, an original and three copies of the application packaged must be submitted

first two weeks in October: DOJ reviews and selects candidates for interviews

end of October early November: interviews

 end of November through January: finalists selected and offers extended
