"Fruits of Our Labor" Annual Showcase

APPLES Service-Learning Program presented its first-annual Fruits of Our Labor Celebration on April 20, 2004 in the Great Hall of the Carolina Student Union. This event puts a new spin on the traditional year-end celebration of the program’s accomplishments throughout the academic year.

A tradeshow-style event, Fruits of Our Labor showcases all APPLES programs, from Service-Learning Courses to Social Entrepreneur Fellowships and everything in between. Along with presenting awards to honored faculty members and community partners, this event provides a broad overview of the program. UNC students, faculty, and community partners are given the opportunity to see a number of presentations on the various APPLES committees, thus allowing them to learn more about the program as a whole.
