APPLES Service-Learning Program presented its first-annual Fruits of Our Labor Celebration on April 20, 2004 in the Great Hall of the Carolina Student Union. This event puts a new spin on the traditional year-end celebration of the program’s accomplishments throughout the academic year.

A tradeshow-style event, Fruits of Our Labor showcases all APPLES programs, from Service-Learning Courses to Social Entrepreneur Fellowships and everything in between. Program participants, faculty, and community partners will be on hand to share their service-learning stories. This broad range of perspectives serves as a lens to the multidimensional impact of service-learning experiences on students, faculty, and the communities. Visitors to the showcase will be able to intermingle with presenters from all the various committees to get a broad overview of the APPLES program.

Finally, following the program presentation session is an awards ceremony that honors students, faculty, and community partners for their outstanding contribution to service-learning.
