Teach a Service-Learning Course
Core Connections Breakfast

At the beginning of each semester, faculty and community partners engage in a dialogue to help build and prepare for a successful service-learning partnership. Located on UNC's campus, the Core Connections Breakfast offers an informational orientation, networking, and an opportunity to design service-learning experiences for students.   

During the breakfast, community partners receive information from faculty regarding course goals and syllabus. In addition, faculty learn more about available service-learning experiences from the community partners.  APPLES encourages ongoing communication between faculty and community partners throughout the semester to share any concerns or feedback. All APPLES faculty and active community partners are invited to attend. A continental breakfast is provided. Free parking in the Morehead Planetarium lot is available on a first come, first-serve basis with an RSVP.
