Core Connections Breakfast
APPLES provides resources for faculty members offering valuable service-learning experiences for their students. APPLES currently works with over 35 faculty representing 16 disciplines across campus.
I get the chance to teach and help students think about how their coursework has some relevance in the real world. It’s exciting when students make those connections.

- Identify, monitor and evaluate relevant community service projects
- Develop sustainable community partnerships
- Provide structured and effective reflection activities for students
- Offer networking and workshop opportunities on course development
- Provide funding to enhance student learning
Expectations of Faculty
- Attend Core Connections Breakfast at the beginning of the semester
- Prepare students for service and issues of diversity they may encounter
- Provide ongoing opportunities for critical reflection
