A community partner is a not-for-profit or governmental agency that forms a service-learning partnership with the APPLES program. Over 200 community organizations in the Triangle-region partner with the APPLES program each year by working with undergraduate service-learning volunteers.
This partnership provides the community partner with a variety of opportunities, including volunteer and internship programs. Service-learning partnerships benefit both the community through service and the student through new learning experiences.
For more information, view our Community Partner Guide.
For community partners currently working with APPLES or interested in learning more about our programs, subscribe to the community partners listserv. Messages are sent out about upcoming opportunities, deadlines and other news.
Call (919)962-0902 or email apples@unc.edu to set up a site visit and consultation. This is the first step to becoming a community partner and will help you better understand how APPLES can serve your organization.
