Critical Reflection
Critical reflection provides the opportunity to evaluate and integrate thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors as it pertains to the participant’s experience in a service-learning course. Critical reflection activities can include research papers, discussion groups, class projects and journaling.

Faculty are expected to intentionally consider critical reflection opportunities while developing and preparing to teach a service-learning course.  The APPLES office provides a tremendous amount of resources for developing such activities, and can provide faculty with resources, development and training as needed.

For more critical reflection resources, contact the APPLES office at apples@unc.edu
