Service-Learning Courses

Service-Learning Courses integrate community-based service into the course curricula. Students take abstract theories they learn in the classroom and put them into practice through service to the community. Students complete a minimum of 30 hours of service during the semester at community partner sites. Recently, APPLES has enrolled more than 1,000 students completing more than 35,000 hours of service in APPLES courses each year.

The goal of Service-Learning Courses is to enhance classroom learning by actively applying course concepts while serving the community.
