Tuseme is a peer counseling program with a mission to decrease the
stigma associated with mental illness through campus awareness events
and provide accessible, discreet, and appropriately trained peer
counselors to all undergraduate students. We hope to provide direct
support to our peers through a walk-in (and/or call-in) counseling
service with at least two designated peer counselors on call each night
all night. Tuseme is not meant to offer specific advice given by
professionals—we offer support, caring, friendliness, and an open mind.
We also refer students to other resources on UNC’s campus relevant to
their needs.
