About the agency: Founded in 1979, The Women’s Center promotes the individual and collective empowerment of the diverse community of women and girls in the Triangle. Core offerings include: Legal Information, Financial Counseling, Homeownership Program, Career Counseling, Adolescent Programs, Community Education Workshops and Support Groups, Information and Referral, and an Annual Art Exhibition.

Internship Description: The Intern will get direct program experience with the Financial and Homeowner Education and Outreach Programs. Intern will assist the Program Director in ehancing existing curriculum, program marketing, and event planning and outreach to strategic audiences. Intern is expected to complete assignment in a timely and professional manner.

Skills Needed: Marketing, organization, research, professional telephone etiquette. Interest in affordable housing and financial literacy a plus. Spanish skills not necessary, but a plus.

Majors of Interest: Community-based economics, PR/Marketing, Social Work

Transportation Needed: Car
