About the agency: The mission of NCBG is to inspire understanding, application, and conservation of plants in gardens and natural areas and to advance a sustainable relationship between people and plants.

 

Internship Description: The Intern will assist with the development and implementation of environmental education programs that foster learning and inspire a greater understanding of the value of plants in our lives. Programs include Nature Explorers Summer Camp, Nature Tales Story Time, and non-formal education programs.

 

Skills Needed: Computer and writing skills, experience working with children

 

Concentrations of Interest: Interns will learn strategies for using the outdoors for learning for young children and adolescents. Environmental Studies, Education, Biology, Psychology.

 

Transportation Needed: Yes
