About the agency: The mission of the Piedmont Wildlife Center is to support native North American wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and research, with emphasis on the conservation of wildlife and its habitat in North Carolina. We rehabilitate injured, sick and orphaned wildlife brought to the Piedmont Wildlife Center hospital with the intent of returning them in a healthy condition to their original habitat. We also strive to educate people in our area of ways to live more harmoniously with our wildlife neighbors and we study wildlife diseases that may have an impact on human health.
