Eligibility and Accommodations

Registering with The Department of Disabilities Services (DDS)

  • Submit a professional evaluation (documentation) and an impact statement to the Department of Disabilities Services.  Please visit their website where documentation guidelines are posted.
  • The staff at DDS, in consultation with staff at ASP, Learning Center and CWS reviews all submitted documentation and determines eligibility.
  • The Director of Disabilities Services, Jim Kessler, will contact you after your documentation has been reviewed to let you know next steps.

Requesting and Accessing Accommodations

The Department of Disabilities Services manages all aspects of requesting and accessing accommodations for students registered with their office.

  • Newly registered students must first meet with Tiffany Bailey, Assistant Director of DDS to discuss possible accommodations.
  • Returning students must visit DDS website where all necessary forms to request and set-up accommodations are found.

An ASP Learning Specialist can consult with you to determine how to effectively use your accommodations to enhance your academic performance.
