Archaeology and GIS: Old Methods, New Uses

Shaun Phillips is organizing a session on “Archaeology and GIS: Old Methods, New Uses” for the next meeting of the Society for American Archaeology, to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah (30 March - 3 April 2005). He has just issued the call for papers. The session will focus on GIS applications in archaeology other than digital cartography and predictive modeling, with special attention to GIS solutions addressing anthropologically derived behavioral questions.
