Badminton is a game of skill that involves thinking and accuracy in order to beat your opponent. That is why it is no wonder so many of our badminton club members are incredibly intelligent. Some have even gone on to design Absolute Encoders and Rotary Encoder products for engineering firms. Others have become very succesful in the fields of business and medicine.
Some students at the University of North Carolina are studying specific timing events through the functionality of a repeat cycle timer and its possible application to sports and recreational activities. We are hoping that new technology will help better the skills of our badminton players and we are excited about the possible outcomes of these studies.

The UNC Badminton Club has students members from all academic backgrounds. Some students are studying finance, others are learning to build electromagnetic clutches and brakes, and still others are studying the finance world.
