Join the BFSC
Dear Colleagues:
Since 1974 the Black Faculty and Staff Caucus (BFSC) has work to serve the underrepresented employees of the University while maintaining its presence as a strong influence in bringing together the Black faculty, staff, and students on the UNC at Chapel Hill campus. The BFSC works to provide consultation, information and advocacy for Black employees and students at Carolina and our work is as imperative today as when the Caucus was formed.
I am writing to ask you to become a dues paying member of the BFSC (if you have not already done so). Please take a few minutes and fill out the online membership form, submit to us electronically and campus mail a hard copy of the form along with your dues check.
Please send the completed form to:- Cookie Newsom

Your membership will help support the Caucus, pay for our meeting expenses, awards and seasonal celebrations. Personally, I do not think that you could make as significant a contribution to social justice with $25 anywhere else!
Of course, we can not have a Black Faculty and Staff Caucus without you! I would like to encourage you to be an active member this year and attend our meetings to share your time and talent with us. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new colleagues and make great friends in addition to making a difference on our campus. We have a wonderful history of collegiality, unity and leadership your support will only make us better!
Thank you for all you do at Carolina!
Sincerely,
M. Cookie Newsom, PhD.
