20th Annual Carolina Blood Drive

Directions/Parking

Free parking will be available in the unreserved spaces of the Koury (S11) lot, and the Manning (S11) lot during the hours of the blood drive. Event parking signs will help identify the designated parking lots. Due to a major utility repair project, the Bowles Lot and the Smith Lot will not be available.
For the convenience of the donors and as a token of our appreciation, golf carts will be available to provide rides back to the Smith Center S11 parking lots from the Red Cross tent located in front of the Smith Center near the "A Entrance."

Campus Shuttle Information

Due to the continuing budget situation, extra shuttle resources are not available. However, the transit plan implemented in January 2002 and revised for 2004-2005, services most areas of campus and will run on a normal schedule this summer. Several routes service the Dean E. Smith Center, but the four recommended routes are: (1) the traditional campus "U" bus, the "RU" bus, the "N" bus and the "S" bus, depending upon the desired departure location.

There is a new feature to the bus service for this year's blood drive. Several bus stops throughout campus and town have "real time" tracking boards (Powered by NextBus). This means anyone using stops designated with "i" on the maps, can see exactly how long it will take for buses servicing a specific stop to arrive.
