Our final total of units collected was 966 usable units of blood. While we fell 34 units short of our goal of 1000, these donations will be turned into over 2898 blood products. We welcomed 210 first time donors.

Carolina's giving spirit has come through again as we helped patients across the Carolinas Region of the American Red Cross with the gift of love and life through your blood donations.

A remarkable public service effort for Carolina with a surprise appearance from Coach Dean Smith and a planned appearance from Carolina football Coach Butch Davis and players: Kennedy Tinsley #36, Ryan Taylor #49, Garrett Reynolds #75, Kyle Jolly #72, Lowell Dyer #69, and Shaun Draughn #20. Thanks to Nathaniel Wasson (Rameses). Thanks to all who came to donate or volunteer their time. We also want to thank the American Red Cross and the over 50 vendors who provided support to our drive! We couldn't have done it without you!
