Application Process and Participant Selection

Who is eligible to apply?

Full-time faculty members with tenured, tenure-track or fixed-term positions who came to Carolina in the past three years are eligible to apply for the Tar Heel Bus Tour. Participants should have the time, energy and commitment to make the tour worthwhile. This year's tour is scheduled from Monday, May 12, to Friday, May 16, 2008 - the week after commencement. In order to be eligible for the next tour, we must receive your application via campus mail or e-mail by February 15, 2008. You may print the online application form and send your completed application through campus mail to Linda Douglas, Office of Community Relations, CB# 6225, or submit your application on-line. If you would like to receive an application through campus mail, please call Linda Douglas at 843-9393.

How are participants selected?

We will select a group of 35 participants who represent the diversity of our faculty. Participants will come from health affairs and academic affairs. We ask that you share your decision to apply with your department chair or division head. In most where multiple faculty members apply from the same department or division, we will consult department or division heads to help us in our selection process.

Participants will be selected and notified by March 15, 2008.
