Dear UNC Family,

The Carolina Athletic Association (CAA) exists to bring UNC athletics to you! The CAA represents every UNC student in athletic affairs and is the students' voice to the Athletic Department. We stay busy all year, organizing and planning many major activities on campus, including Homecoming Week, Beat Duke Week, Late Night with Roy, Chancellor Michael Hooker Memorial 5k Race, the Men's Basketball ticket distribution system, and more!

Our various committees work to both improve and publicize athletic activities to the Carolina Student Body. The Sports Marketing Committee promotes Mens and Womens Olympic sports, and they take charge of Late Night with Roy in the Fall and Baseball Beach Bash in the Spring. The Homecoming Committee, along with the General Alumni Association, facilitates all the events of Homecoming in the Fall, as well as Beat Duke Week in the Spring. The Special Projects committee organizes philanthropic and other special events like blood drives and various service projects with other organizations, such as the UNC Dance Marathon. The Ticketing committee runs the gameday activities for all Men's Home Basketball games. The Cabinet of the CAA helps oversee each of these events, and through our Campus Relations Chair, tries to make you aware of each and every one.

Every student is a member of CAA and student involvement is crucial to our success. Let us know what you like or how we can improve. Two great ways to stay involved are to join the Carolina Athletic Association Facebook group and follow us on Twitter under "unccaa." Stop by our office at 3508-C in the Student union or email us at carolinaathleticassociation@gmail.com if you ever have any questions, comments or concerns. I am so excited to be your President and am looking forward to another phenomenal year of Carolina Athletics!

Go Heels! Go America!

Johnathan Flynn

President, Carolina Athletic Association
