John "j russ" Russell is the Carolina Athletic Association President for 2009-2010. His four main passions in life are sports, business, people and Jesus. John's favorite Carolina Athlete, besides Michael Jordan, is star football player, Julius Peppers. The most memorable sports moment for John was when he drove 11 hours to Detroit with his friends to cheer the Tar Heels to victory! 2009 National Champions! Tom Kuell is the Vice President of the Carolina Athletic Association. Tom's favorite Carolina athlete is Sam Pompei who is on the UNC cross country and track team. His favorite superhero is Superman. Tom says that his favorite UNC sports moment was going to Detroit for the 2009 National Championship and being able to watch our boys cut down the nets. It was one of the best experiences of his life.
Brandon Finch

Brandon Finch is the Secretary for the Carolina Athletic Association. Brandon's favorite Carolina athlete is Michael Jordan. He says that Jordan is a legend and has changed the way we live and breathe Carolina basketball. His favorite super hero is Batman because he doesn't have any super powers, yet he still achieves his status with his killer costume and sweet gadgets. Brandon's favorite UNC sports moment was winning the 2009 Men's NCAA Basketball Championship and being able to experience Franklin Street afterwards.
Tucker Idol

Tucker Idol is the Treasurer for the Carolina Athletic Association. His favorite superhero is Captain Planet. Tucker's favorite UNC sports moment is when Surry Wood received a deafening standing ovation for scoring a career-high 4 points in the first minutes of his final game in the Dean Dome. Also, every time Carolina beats Duke in anything is another favorite moment for Tucker.
Deanna Rothberg

Allison Gee is the Sports Marketing Co-Chair for the Carolina Athletic Association. She is excited to work with her co-chair, Deanna, and her awesome committee members this year. Allison does not have one favorite Carolina athlete because she is finding Danny Green too hard to replace! But she will find one soon with so many great athletes to choose from. Her favorite UNC sports moment, besides winning the National Championship in Detroit last year, was cheering the Tarheels on when they played Ohio State in men's basketball during her freshman year. Kelsey Hamilton serves as the Public Relations Co-Chair for the Carolina Athletic Association. Her favorite Carolina athlete is Mia Hamm, and her favorite superhero is Superman. Kelsey's favorite UNC sports moment was witnessing, in person, the 2009 National Championship in Detroit. It was one of the most rewarding experiences in her life because she got to be a part of the national championship and experience all of it with her friends.
Annie Ellis

Annie Ellis is the Public Relations Co-Chair for the Carolina Athletic Association. Her favorite Carolina athlete is Abby Kimball, and her favorite superhero is Dolly Parton. Annie's favorite UNC sports moment occurred on April 6, 2009! She said that she will never forget the excitement of winning the National Championship and celebrating on Franklin St. with thousands of her closest friends.
Courtney Erin Brown

Courtney Brown serves as the Homecoming Chair for the Carolina Athletic Association. Her favorite UNC athletes are Chip Peterson and Ed Davis, and her favorite superhero is Spiderman. Courtney has many favorite UNC sports moments. Her top two moments are witnessing the behind the back catch by Hakeem Nicks in the Bowl Game versus West Virginia and watching the annihilation of Villanova at the Final Four in Detroit.
Margaret Batts

Margaret Batts is the Ticketing Chair for the Carolina Athletic Association. Her favorite Carolina athlete is Antawn Jamison, and her favorite superhero is Batman. Margaret's favorite UNC sports moment was when Casey Nogueira scored the second goal against Notre Dame. It was so exciting for her because she was going to be living with the 2008 Women's Soccer National Champions!
Megan Siler
