The committee also organizes events to connect Carolina students to UNC Athletics. The committee plans pep rallies and recreational events as well as Lunch with Legends. The Lunch with Legends events feature Tar Heel athletes and coaches who meet with current students to share stories and advice.

– Sports Marketing –

The Sports Marketing Committee helps coordinate the creativity and logistics behind Late Night with Roy in the Fall and Baseball Beach Bash in the Spring. The committee is also responsible for marketing one event for each Olympic Sport at UNC. In designing these individual events, the committee members work in association with the UNC Sports Marketing Department.

Committee members are also encouraged to volunteer at Olympic Sporting events throughout the school year. The main goal of the group is to increase attention on all UNC-CH sports to the UNC-CH student body. We believe all Sports ranging from Women’s Field Hockey to Men’s Basketball are an important part of carrying on UNC’s athletics tradition.

– Ticketing –

The Ticketing Committee is responsible for working with the UNC Athletic Ticket Office to design, communicate and implement student ticket lotteries for high demand sports, including several home football games and all men’s home basketball events. Additionally, by designing and organizing the student entrance process, the CAA Ticketing Committee is dedicated to making it easy for every student to attend Carolina sporting events.

The student ticket policy is crafted to guarantee the maximum amount of students attend these sporting events each and every night. Thanks to initiatives such as the standby line and the turn-it-back program, the Ticketing Committee works to supply every student with an additional opportunity to attend men’s basketball games. The Ticketing Committee seeks to create a policy that is both effective and desirable to as many students as possible. We seek to be the voice of the students in regards to ticketing affairs and appreciate any suggestions or concerns so as to further improve the ticket policy and satisfy the student populace.

For the latest updates and reminders for the 2011 – 2012 student ticket policy, please subscribe to the CAA Ticketing listserv: CAA_Ticket_Info.
