Tickets for the conference are sold out, but organizers will live-stream the event. Videos of the speakers and performers will be available for viewing after the event on theTEDxUNC website.
Emil Kang, executive director for the arts at UNC, will be the master of ceremonies. Other Carolina faculty and senior Stirling Little, who won the student speaker contest, are among the conference speakers. The event will also feature performances by singer and clawhammer banjo player Abigail Washburn, Morning Brigade, a six-piece band of UNC students, Carolina soccer player Indi Cowie, who holds a Guinness World Record for her soccer freestyle abilities, and others.
TEDxUNC is from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Doors to Memorial Hall open at 8 a.m. and seating will begin at 8:30 a.m. Four local food trucks will be parked outside Memorial Hall after the event.
