Many of the issues of importance to women on campus require ongoing
efforts to address, including extensive programming, services and
advocacy. When intensive efforts to address issues are needed, the
Carolina Women's Center, in conjunction with its Program Advisory
Council, may
choose to identify those issues as initiative areas to which extensive
staff time and resources can be dedicated. Initiatives are often
brought to the attention of the Carolina Women's Center by women
faculty,
staff and student on campus, or through collaborations with other
university women's centers or campus organizations. The Carolina
Women's Center currently identifies five initiative areas: mentorship, leadership,
child care, campus safety, and sex
trafficking.

Women's Center, please contact us at cwc@unc.edu.
