HOPE is a Committee of the Campus Y
He Who Feels It Knows It.
Dedicated to serving those in poverty in the local community, Homeless Outreach Poverty Eradication (HOPE) members participate in direct service projects and coordinate awareness raising events. Members focus on implementing new and innovative ways to serve the homeless community and better aid those in need, including projects such as documentaries, literary magazines, a community garden, the Box Out, and the Community Fund.

Help Homeless Dress the Part: Business Clothing Drive
What: Gently Used Business Clothing Drive- anything from a polo shirt to dress shoes to a suit and tie! We will accept it all.
When: Monday, October 26th- Friday, November 6th
Where: Campus Y, SASB, Abernathy Hall 2nd Floor (Main Office), Alumni Building 3rd Floor Room 301, Hamilton Hall 1st and 3rd floor, FedEx Global Ed Center.
How: Have clothes that have been taking up space in your closet for far too long? Let us take them off your hands! Just bring gently used causal and professional business attire that you no longer want or need and leave it on a hanging rack or in the drop box nearest you.
Why: Business clothing donated will be given to Community Empowerment Fund micro-loan borrowers and homeless or at risk of homelessness community members who participate in skill building workshops to actively engage in taking steps to improve their current situation. Other beneficiaries include individuals in need of business clothing who attend HOPE's upcoming Thanksgiving Community Dinner where students and community members will have an opportunity to interact and learn from each other while developing meaningful relationships. The clothing will primarily be used by these individuals when seeking employment opportunities or to dress for work.
*To request a receipt for clothing donated for tax write-off purposes or to have clothing picked up in your on-campus office for your convenience, please email clairecorriher@gmail.com
