- Named Directorship
Named directorship for the Center for Jewish Studiescreates an unrestricted endowment that assists the director of the Center in meeting its most pressing needs as they arise.

- Endowed Junior Faculty Position in Jewish Studies
Income of approximately $75,000 each year (from a $1.5 million endowment that includes a $500,000 matching grant from the state of North Carolina) will be used to create a named Faculty Fellow in Jewish Studies - a tenure-track junior faculty member who will teach courses in Jewish culture and history. Creation of these positions will enable the Center and the wider College to move toward the goal of establishing an undergraduate major in Jewish Studies.

- Faculty Excellence Fellowships
Faculty excellence fellowships recognize excellence in teaching and scholarship by providing summer salary stipends to support research that will demonstrably contribute to high-quality teaching in undergraduate courses in Jewish Studies.
$400,000 minimum to endow or $20,000 annually in expendable support
- Director's Excellence Funds
Director's Excellence Funds provide needed resources to the Center director, enabling him or her to recognize and support the work of outstanding teacher-scholars.

- Faculty Excellence Fund
Faculty Excellence Funds demonstrate the Center's commitment to maintain a cadre of teacher-scholars in Jewish Studies that is second to none by providing non-salary support to faculty for a variety of teaching and scholarly needs, including research assistants, travel, and the acquisition of special archival and database materials.
$25,000 minimum to endow
- Endowed Unrestricted Funds in Jewish Studies
Unrestricted program endowments are essential to maintaining the quality of the Jewish studies program at Carolina. Proceeds from unrestricted endowments are used by the director of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies to support any of a number of the Center's activities, including:
- Faculty and student travel for research, attendance at scholarly conferences and collaborative activities with scholars at other institutions.
- Visiting scholars from Israel and European universities to offer courses and speak publicly.
- Undergraduate student theses, travel and educational experiences.
- Graduate fellowships to help bring outstanding students to the Center as both researchers and instructors.
- Library resources, including books, journals, and computer hardware and software that will support the teaching and research missions of the Center.
- Lectures that bring to campus prominent scholars and other experts in Jewish studies and related fields.
$25,000 minimum to endow
- Unrestricted Gifts to the Center for Jewish Studies.
Expendable gifts are essential for the Center for Jewish studies to fulfill its ambitious teaching, research and public service mission. Unrestricted funds are used exclusively by the Jewish Studies program for any number of needs, including programmatic support, faculty support and student support.

*Endowments to establish eminent professorships and endowed junior faculty positions are eligible for matching grants from the State of North Carolina's Distinguished Professors Endowment Trust Fund. A gift of $2,333,000 to create an eminent professorship qualifies for a match of $667,000, while a gift of $1,000,000 to establish a junior faculty endowment qualifies for a match of $500,000.
