AmeriCorps-
offers opportunities through its State & National, VISTA, and NCCC
programs. AmeriCorps State & National members work
with hundreds of local and national nonprofits throughout the US, and
they receive an educational award of $4725. AmeriCorps VISTA
(Volunteers In Service To America) members serve full-time for a year
in nonprofits, public agencies and faith-based groups throughout the country,
and are eligible to receive an educational award or stipend of $1200.
AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is
a 10-month, full-time residential program for men and women between the
ages of 18 and 24 combining the best practices of civilian service with
the best aspects of military service, including leadership and team building.
Members serve in teams of 10 to 15 members and each receives a stipend
of $4000 and an educational award of $4725.

Research- helps progressive groups wage campaigns that help preserve

Corps- provides essential services in the areas of education,
