Work-study positions
2012-2013 academic year
Gain valuable skills while working with cooperative, team-oriented staff and student leaders in engaging and supporting the faculty, students and staff of UNC in meeting the needs of North Carolina and beyond through public service and community engagement. The following positions will be available for students who have work-study packages for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Administrative Assistant II (ID #490)

Administrative support for APPLES and BPSS programs
Assist staff with project and event planning tasks
Data entry and document filing
Word processing and proofing
Assist office manager as needed
Administrative Assistant III (ID #2252)

Location: Wilson Street office
Assist staff with project and event planning tasks
Assist with development projects
Handle weekly accounting tasks
Assist with annual awards process
Public Relations Assistant II (ID #2253)

Location: Wilson Street office
Prior experience with PR/communication tasks
Write, proofread and edit documents
Knowledge of Associated Press Stylebook
Ability to work under deadline pressure
Design skills a plus
Information Specialist II (ID #2502)

Assist Buckley Public Service Scholars (BPSS) program
Respond to participant inquiries
Assist with program publication data collection
Train participants I database entries
Data entry experience preferred
Knowledge of BPSS program required
