The Turoe Stone is by far the best known of the ritual, decorated stones. It is a granite boulder 1.68m high. The upper 78 cm is covered with three-plane curvilinear ornament which has been assembled in four parts: two triangular and two conjoined shield shapes placed opposite of each other.
