The Association of American Universities (AAU) and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) host a tour of the city, with insights from an NUS professor.

Chancellor Moeser and the UNC delegation are guests at a luncheon hosted by Lily Kong, Vice Provost, NUS and Tan Tai Yong, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, NUS. Afternoon activities include a tour of the NUS campus, given by UNC students in the Singapore Summer Immersion Program. UNC alumnus Alston Gardner, a 1977 UNC history graduate who generously funds the Singapore Program, also attends. The UNC delegation has an informal discussion with the students about their experiences.

In the evening, Moeser attends a welcoming reception and dinner with university leaders representing the AAU and the APRU and participating in a roundtable – a first such event for Asia. S.R. Nathan, president of Singapore and NUS chancellor, hosts the event for the roundtable delegates at the Istana, the official residence of the president of Singapore.
