Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

The Chapel Hill Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (CHUUF) is a liberal religious student group. Our members come from very diverse religious backgrounds, but together we are guided by the principles and purposes of the Unitarian Universalist Association which include:

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

CHUUF welcomes and celebrates diversity in ethnicity, religious heritage, and sexual orientation. We are sponsored and supported by the Community Church of Chapel Hill and often collaborate in activities and share resources with their congregation.

Our meetings are held every Thursday that UNC is in session. We share refreshments and fellowship from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., and have a worship service from 5:30 - 6:00 around a spiritual or social theme. We meet in the Student Union, usually in room 3209.

This year our Co-chairs are Paul Smith and Llael Maffit. If you have any questions about CHUUF please contact our Campus Ministry Director Marion Hirsch, available by phone at (919) 942-2050. Our faculty advisor is Professor Scott Provan.
