CMDS Overview

CMR has created a custom mammography data collection and information system to manage the data collected by the project.  This data system is called the Carolina Mammography Data System (CMDS), and collects information on patient demographics, medical history, mammography screening results, and pathology results.  CMDS is made available to any practice collaborating with CMR, and allows practices to have a computerized way to store and use information they collect in the routine practice of mammography.  Through CMDS, practices share data with CMR, and, in turn, CMR provides practices with access to and assistance with reports necessary for meeting MQSA requirements.
