Mammography Improvement Project for Women with Disabilities (MIP)

This pilot study was designed to address the gap in knowledge related to women with disabilities who have not returned for breast cancer following a previous screen.  MIP seeks to understand the barriers that prevent women with disabilities from returning to screening, and, subsequently, the changes in the mammography process that would reduce those barriers and result in women returning.  The main goal of this pilot study is to develop and test a method to identify women of screening age with physical and sensory disabilities, and develop and test a questionnaire to identify amenable-to-change barriers in screening mammography for these women.
