MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission at Company Carolina is to provoke thought and communication about
social issues while simultaneously educating and entertaining our audience through
quality community theatre. We want to challenge attitudes, stereotypes, and
preconceived notions about society and theatre by exposing our audience to a wide
variety of genres, playwrights, and performance styles. We strive to showcase
student talent and promote Chapel Hill’s artistic community. We treat every
performance as an individual project, and we achieve our artistic goals through
collaboration in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

About Us

Company Carolina is the only student-run theater group at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill that produces BOTH musicals and plays. Company runs on a
professional theater model, meaning that we are led not by presidents and
secretaries but by the positions found in professional theaters worldwide:
producers, technical directors, business managers, etc. We have been thriving on this
