Mission Statement
Our mission at Company Carolina is to provoke thought and communication by exposing our audiences and artists to a wide variety of genres, playwrights, and performance styles. We offer young artists hands-on experience in an independent, entirely student-run community theatre, and strive to showcase student talent and promote Chapel Hillʼs artistic community. Company treats every performance as an individual project, and we achieve our artistic goals through collaboration in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
About Us
Company Carolina is a student-run theater group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Company runs on a professional theater model, meaning that we are led not by presidents and secretaries but by the positions found in professional theaters worldwide: producers, technical directors, business managers, etc. Company runs like a business, making us a prime organization for learning the economics of working in a theatre company. We have been thriving on this system since 1994.
