Spring 2004

In English 12 students are introduced to academic writing from three of four possible disciplines: Natural Sciences, Social Sciences or Business, and Humanities. In this first unit, we are not only focusing our attention on writing for the Natural Sciences, but also on how to write for the internet. Our goal is to be able to translate the academic materials used for our research, into language that is accessible for a large audience, as well as to create an informative, cohesive, and user friendly web site on our chosen diseases.
